This event is held in a private home each year and I was looking for avenues by which revenue could be increased. We decided this year we would put our focus on the live benefit auction with hopes of raising our revenue for this event to $200,000.
David introduced to our Special Events committee a comprehensive, well organized strategy to accomplish our goal. After a 2 hour kick-off meeting with David and the auction committee, the team was armed with the knowledge and the tools necessary to accomplish the task of securing the best auction packages we have ever offered at this event.

I want to echo their comments. To my knowledge, most of our guests have always sat idle during the live auction, anxiously awaiting the moment they can politely leave. Many do leave. And while we did have some guests leave early, I was totally amazed at how many people stayed and just enjoyed the music and basked in the companionship at their tables.
People were bound together in more ways than by simply making some sort of donation (purchasing items or buying raffle tickets) or enjoying the usually delicious Four Seasons food. You excited them, gave them ownership in what our group is all about. They are a large source of House funds. "I cannot thank you enough for the success of our recent School of St. Mary fundraiser. As you know we raised just under $122,000 from the live auction portion, which was about $50,000 more than the previous year. The separate paddle raiser, which focused on new technology, raised $80,000.
Over the summer our principal and his staff of advisors purchased all the new computers, laptops and printers for the school. We are truly on the cutting edge now with our rolling lap-top cart, and our high-end computer lab.
While your fee was certainly higher than we had ever paid in the past, we certainly got our money’s worth and then some. You took us by the hand and helped us all the way through, from the ideas for the auction items to the proper order of the items. As you know we are a volunteer group that changes every year……most of us have never done anything like this before, so Sue and I really counted on your expertise to help us through.
